8.1.2011 Nominations Being Accepted for Physician Volunteers for LSBME Service
Due to a recent resignation, one LSMS-nominated position on the LA State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME) is currently vacant. This vacancy is for an unexpired term which will run thru January 1, 2013. The Board meets monthly at its headquarters in New Orleans and for 2 days at a time. Therefore, service on this board requires a significant time commitment from anyone wishing to be considered for nomination. Anyone wishing to be considered must be an LSMS member in good standing and ideally, should be nominated by his or her component society. no later than August 31, 2011. No nominations will be accepted after this date. CVs and nominating letters will be included in the materials sent to the Board of Governors prior to the September 14, 2011 meeting.
