04.17.12 U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-Baton Rouge, went viral over the weekend with an online video spreading of him comparing as "very similar" the health-care programs pushed by President Barack Obama and the one in Massachusetts adopted under then-Gov. Mitt Romney.

Cassidy also said the "heart and soul" of the Obama health-care law is based on the Massachusetts program.

Coming off a two-week congressional recess, Cassidy responded Monday that he only compared as "very similar" Obama's program and the one that "evolved" for the worse from Romney's original proposal to expand health-care access.

Cassidy said he is formally endorsing Romney, the likely Republican-nominee, for president and that both of them firmly support repealing the health-care law pushed by Obama.
