03.30.12 Pennington Biomedical Research Center ranks fourth on a list of "Best Places to Work for Postdocs" in the trade journal The Scientist.
The journal's annual listing surveyed more than 1,500 post-doctoral fellows around the world and ranked Pennington among a highly prestigious selection of research institutions, Pennington said Thursday.
The Scientist measured dozens of criteria aimed at assessing the working environment for young scientists in training, referred to as post-doctoral fellows. Pennington was lauded for dedicating resources to support the career development of post-doctoral fellows through an internal education department that manages professional development, including mentoring and grant-writing courses.
