02.20.12 A website set up by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals to share information about health inspections at restaurants and other food providers has seen relatively little activity.

DHH Secretary Bruce Greenstein introduced the Eat Safe site in August 2011 as a commitment to transparency and public safety and said that a more robust site was less than three months away.

"We want to make sure we're applying a high level of standards across the state and make sure that work gets done in a timely manner," Greenstein said in August.
