01.24.12 As part of its ongoing provider outreach initiative, a new provider tool has been created and is now available from BAYOU HEALTH. This new outreach tool for providers is a PowerPoint presentation with voice over, developed to: identify the Medicaid and LaCHIP recipients that will transition to BAYOU HEALTH, explain the BAYOU HEALTH recipient choice process and timeline, and address some of the frequently asked provider questions. This tool serves as an excellent introduction to BAYOU HEALTH. This new tool was created for staff in provider organizations that cannot attend one of our in-person presentations – it covers the same basic information included in the live presentation.

DHH is also transitioning the way behavioral health services will be delivered and coordinated. This transition is called the LOUISIANA BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PARTNERHSIP and it will be administered by Magellan – a national health care management organization with expertise in behavioral health.
