01.18.12 More than 100 people gathered in the cafeteria at Covington High School Saturday morning to get information and register for the new Bayou Health plans that will take the place of Medicaid and La Chip at the end of January.
Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals employees were on hand to help clients who were asking for assistant with choosing a new plan.
 
They had information such as which doctors were with which network and could readily give information needed so clients could choose the best available plan.
 
Most people were very positive, accepting the change with only a few being disgruntled. However, some people were finding it difficult to select a plan that had all their physicians as some people had specialists that were not together on plans and they then had to choose between specialists.
