01.11.12 The Office of Workers' Compensation will be hosting a training seminar Friday, January 20, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Louisiana State Police Training Center in Baton Rouge. The training center is located at 7901 Independence Blvd.

 

The seminar, which is free, is developed specifically for healthcare providers and will provide instruction on the navigation of the newly implemented Medical Treatment Schedule for Workers' Compensation. It will also provide instruction on the Utilization Review process and submission of 1009s.

 

Speakers include Ken Eichler, of The Reed Group; Chuck Davoli, Labor Representative on the Workers' Compensation Advisory Council; and Dr. Chris Rich, Medical Director for OWCA.
