After hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Nephrologist, Dr. Anthony "Andy" Blalock helped his home state, Louisiana, establish Emergency Medical Units to help community physicians plan and prepare for their role after a disaster. Dr. Blalock discusses best practices with host Gary Epstein. The mobile medical delivery system developed in Louisiana is now a model that can be replicated in other states.
