This kick-off event sets the stage for statewide initiatives focused on diabetes prevention and treatment. Recognizing diabetes as a threat with far-reaching implications is crucial. This epidemic poses healthcare, social and economic dangers to our society.
A diverse team of clinicians, policymakers, researchers, business leaders and pharmaceutical industry representatives will take the field in two sessions—one aimed at the general business audience and community-based organizations, and one focused on the physician perspective.
