The Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco Free Living (TFL) and the Louisiana Tobacco Control Program (LTCP), and the Office of Public Health Continuing Education Programs are offering a series of FREE webinars that provide insight on the challenges of addressing tobacco use among women of reproductive age. This 3-part series is open to all physicians, nurses, certified midwives, lactation-consultants, and those working in the field of tobacco prevention and control. CMEs will be provided for physicians and CEs for nurses.
"Breastfeeding and Tobacco Use" - 10/05/11 @ 10-11am (CST) -Debbie Regan, R.N., IBCLC, will address implications of tobacco use during the post-partum period, benefits of breastfeeding, and negative effects of second/third hand smoke. Mrs. Regan is currently the assistant director of the Parenting Center at Children's Hospital. The Office of Public Health is accredited by the Louisiana State Medical Society to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The Office of Public Health designates this live educational activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
