Committee for Disaster Reform (Louisiana) - The Committee for Disaster Medicine Reform was formed in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in response to the subsequent politically motivated criminal allegations against Dr. Anna Pou, widely respected New Orleans doctor and her two dedicated nursing colleagues, and civil litigation filed against these and other medical professionals who stayed and served people in need while government at all levels failed to do its job.
Louisiana Health Care Quality Forum- is a private, not-for-profit organization, with a volunteer board representing a cross section of public and private insurance purchasers, patient advocates, providers, physicians and insurers in the state. Dozens of other stakeholders volunteer their time in committees that focus on health information technology, quality measurement, medical homes and outreach and education. The LHCQF mission is to lead evidence-based, collaborative initiatives to improve the health of the people of Louisiana.

American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists(AACE) and American College of Endocrinology (ACE) are predominant professional associations of clinical endocrinologists. Members include both academic and private physicians engaged in direct patient care or clinical research - rather than in basic biochemical endocrine studies.
