Each year the LSMS recognizes individuals whose journalistic efforts contributed to a better understanding of medicine and health care in Louisiana through the Awards for Excellence in Medical Journalism program.
Entries are judged on the basis of accuracy, overall quality, public interest, and educational value in the fields of medicine and health care in Louisiana.
The LSMS congratulates all the winners and recipient of the meritorious award in this competition. We also wish to recognize and extend our appreciation to all the participants joining in this contest for reporting the valuable information on medical issues that inform and affect the people in Louisiana.
