Resident Section
LSMS Leadership
The purpose of the LSMS
Resident Section is to provide intern, resident, and fellow physicians
greater participation in the affairs of the Louisiana
State Medical Society and a more direct role in policy
deliberations. To this end are three goals of the Resident Section:
-
to educate residents
about issues concerning graduate medical education and national
health policies;
-
to develop a truly
representative organization in order to effect change; and
-
to train young physician
leaders.
